Every practice says they’re full. We explain, in English, what to do next.
On video calls, Amber explains how the search for a therapy place in Germany works, and together you work out where to look next. The first step is a free 15-minute intro call.
The calls cover the German system and your next step in it.

1 · Where you stand
You tell Amber about your insurance, the practices you’ve written to and what came back, and you don’t need the German words for any of it.

2 · The main doors
The main doors are the first consultation at a practice, the appointment service on 116 117, and Kostenerstattung, where an insurer can sometimes pay for a private therapist. Insurers decide case by case.

3 · Your next step
Together you pick one thing to try next.

Sometimes you need a person who knows the system

Intro call
Tell Amber where your search stands, and pick one next step together.
Practical help with the German system, not therapy or psychological counselling. Amber can’t arrange a therapy place or a faster appointment for you.
Book a free intro callWhy we’re building this
We kept hearing the same story. People in Germany decide to start psychotherapy, write to practice after practice and get silence or a no. That’s the system, not them.
A long wait, and rules you’re expected to know
In Germany, for people with statutory health insurance, the average wait from the first consultation with a psychotherapist to the start of therapy was 142 days (DPtV Report Psychotherapie 2023, KBV billing data Q1 2019). Amber’s calls are about the route into therapy and its rules, explained in English.
